Overview
Veil is a Legendary-rarity crop mutation in Grow a Garden 2 with a 50x Sheckles multiplier on sell value at harvest. It is one of only two crop-tier pet-triggered mutations (the other being Glow, applied by Star Fruit) — a weather-independent effect that comes entirely from owning and equipping the Shadow Dragon pet.
How to farm it. Equip a Shadow Dragon (Super rarity, 20M Sheckles listed price, currently 0% spawn until release). While the pet is active in your garden it rolls a 10% chance on every newly-sown plant to apply Veil. Per-tick cadence and variant (Big / Huge) scaling have not been disclosed yet — those will be verified after launch.
Status: unreleased. Both Veil and Shadow Dragon shipped in the same July 21-22 push as the Fall Harvest content bomb. Neither is playable yet — targeted release is the Fall Harvest window (August 2, 2026), though no formal event tie has been confirmed.
On single-harvest crops the effective multiplier drops to roughly 8.35x instead of 50x (formula: 1 + (50 - 1) * 0.15). Multi-harvest crops get the full 50x.
