Midas Moon in Grow a Garden 2
Field notes
What we know about Midas Moon
Midas Moon is a suspected weather event or special night variant in Grow a Garden 2 that the community identified from leaked footage describing a "mightiest moon" event. In Grow a Garden 1, Jandel and other admins occasionally ran a Midas Rain event that applied the Gilded mutation to crops across all gardens simultaneously. The community interprets the GAG2 "mightiest moon" footage as a scheduled version of this mechanic, possibly called Midas Moon. Whether this is a distinct named event, a variant of the Blood Moon, or an admin-run occurrence similar to GAG1 is entirely unknown. Trigger rate, duration, the mutation or variant it applies, and its interaction with the stealing mechanic during the night phase all require in-game verification.
World event
Midas Moon effects
According to pre-release leaks and community interpretation, the Midas Moon event causes crops to gain a gold or gilded mutation during the event window. This is based on a leaked footage description of a "mightiest moon" event. Exact effects, whether it stacks with other mutations, and whether it affects stealing mechanics are all unknown.

When does Midas Moon happen?
The Midas Moon has not been confirmed as a separate scheduled event. It was identified in leaked footage described as the "mightiest moon." Whether it has a scheduled trigger rate, whether it is an admin-run event, or whether it is a variant of the Blood Moon is unclear. Community interpretation only at this stage.

How to prepare for Midas Moon
Keep valuable crops protected before the event begins, check whether the event applies a mutation, and avoid assuming that trigger rates or duration match Grow a Garden 1. The live event timer and crop sale screen are the authoritative checks.
