Grow a Garden 2 received its first big content update on June 20, 2026 — the Aurora Event Update. Here is everything that went live, with links to the full pages.
Aurora Borealis weather + Aurora mutation
The headline addition is the Aurora Borealis weather event. While it is active, the sky turns cyan with a blue-and-pink glow and random crops have a chance to gain the new Aurora mutation — worth a massive 90x sell value, one of the highest multipliers in the game. The event lasts about 2 minutes and is usually seen at night. Aurora does not stack with other mutations.
New Mythic crop and pet
- Venom Spitter — a Mythic crop (30,000,000 Sheckles, ~0.475% stock chance) that spits venom at intruders trying to steal from your garden at night. A defensive plant in the spirit of Dragon's Breath.
- Bear — a Mythic pet (5,000,000 Sheckles, ~0.225% map spawn, or a 9% hatch from the Epic Egg) that defends your garden by tackling intruders, pinning them, and throwing them away.
Double or Nothing — new selling gamble
A new selling option lets you gamble a harvest: choose Double or Nothing and you either get double the Sheckles or nothing at all. Good for low-value crops if you like the risk; skip it on your high-value mutated harvests.
New gear
- Megaphone — 8,000 Sheckles from George. Plays custom Roblox music codes across the whole server (a fun novelty, not a farming boost).
- Player Magnet — a Robux item that pulls other players toward you.
- Pet Server Teleporters — paid items that teleport you to a server which has a pet of the matching rarity (Legendary 99 / Mythic 799 / Super 1,499 Robux), each with a giftable version.
Server-wide anti-cheat
The update added server-wide anti-cheat to push back against the auto-steal and auto-plant scripts that appeared shortly after launch. If you still run into exploiters, use a private server for safe AFK farming.
