Overview

Turtle is a Rare pet added June 23, 2026. It spawns at 3.75% wild chance or costs 70,000 Sheckles -- a budget-friendly option for players who need extra carry capacity.

Turtle is the only storage pet in the game, trading walk speed for backpack space. The -2 speed penalty is a deliberate tradeoff: you carry more fruit per trip to the Sell Stand but move slower between your garden and Steven. Whether the speed penalty stacks with movement gear or other speed modifiers is not yet documented.

Pet mutations

Big and Huge Turtle in GAG2

Turtle can rarely spawn with a pet mutation. Grow a Garden 2 has two pet mutations -- Big Turtle and Huge Turtle -- a rare appearance change that boosts the pet's effect. The Big mutation roughly doubles a pet's passive boost (for example a normal Bunny gives +5 speed, a Big Bunny +10), and Huge is even rarer. The exact spawn odds are very low and unconfirmed, and the exact Huge Turtlevalues are TBA. See all pet mutations for the full mechanic.
