Explorer Ethan is a new NPC at the Explorer Stand in Garden Valley. He runs a live countdown to the Fall Harvest event, targeted for August 2, 2026. Until then he only displays the countdown; when Fall Harvest launches, he becomes the entry point to the separate experience (new currency: Leaves; Auctioning disabled inside).

Overview
Explorer Ethan is a new NPC added to Grow a Garden 2 in mid-July 2026. He runs the Explorer Stand in Garden Valley and is the entry point for the upcoming Fall Harvest experience.
When you talk to him: he currently shows a live countdown ("Talk to me in Xd Xh Xm...") ticking down to the Fall Harvest release, targeted for August 2, 2026. Until the countdown ends, he cannot be interacted with beyond the countdown display — no dialogue, no quest, no purchase.
What Fall Harvest is: a separate experience from the main Grow a Garden 2 map. When it launches, players enter it through the Explorer Stand. Fall Harvest introduces a new currency called Leaves (obtainment method not yet disclosed) and disables Auctioning inside the experience. It is the first content unlocked from the main map into a distinct standalone experience.
